Lake Oswego constructed this pumping station as part of a new water treatment plant. Located in the Clackamas River near its confluence with the Willamette, it provides up to 30 million gallons a day to the plant. It included carefully constructed screens and modifciations of the river channel to protect small salmon during their trip to the Pacific. Similarity to a spacecraft is coincidental.
